Resin bound surfacing mixes natural aggregate with a clear resin and trowels it by hand onto a prepared base. The result is a smooth, loose stone free surface that is porous, so rainwater drains straight through when it is laid on a suitable permeable base.
As Daltex approved installers we use tested resin and aggregate blends and follow the system guidance on base preparation, mix ratios, depth and curing. That is what separates a surface that stays bonded for years from one that cracks and sheds stone.
Resin bound works well for footpaths, cycleways, courtyards, tree pits, school playgrounds and driveways. It can be laid over sound existing tarmac or concrete, or onto a new permeable base as part of a wider groundworks package from our own team.

Yes. Resin bound surfacing is porous, so when it is laid on a permeable base, rainwater drains through the surface instead of running off. That makes it suitable for sustainable drainage schemes.
Resin bound mixes the stone into the resin and trowels it smooth, giving a porous surface with no loose stones. Resin bonded scatters stone onto a resin coat, which gives a textured finish that is not permeable.
