Full package of paving, kerbing and slabbing
Park operators want one contractor who can take the external works from start to finish. At Thetford our package covered the paving, the kerbing and the slabbing, so the roads, edges and pitch surfaces were delivered by the same team to the same standard.
Kerbing is what holds a park together. It sets the line of every road and path, restrains the paving so it cannot creep under traffic, and controls where surface water runs.
The aerial photographs show the finished layout: paved routes winding between the lodges, each pitch with its own slabbed base, all set within the woodland around the park.
