New roads and Daltex resin bound driveways at Pevensey Bay

At Pevensey Bay we installed 1,440m² of 70mm base and 30mm topping to the new roads, and 1,220m² of Daltex resin bound surfacing to the driveways.

The project

What we delivered at Pevensey Bay

2,660m² of new roads and resin bound driveways

The roads were built in two layers. A 70mm base course gives the strength to carry vehicles, and a 30mm topping, the surface course, gives the smooth, sealed finish on top.

The driveways were finished in Daltex resin bound, laid by our own Daltex approved team. Resin bound is permeable, so rainwater drains through the surface instead of pooling, and it gives each pitch a clean, hand trowelled finish that contrasts with the black roads.

On a site beside the sea, a surface has to cope with wind, salt and heavy rain. Getting the base right underneath is what makes both the tarmac and the resin last.
