Our story
A family run contractor with 25 years in the ground
Distinctive Paving & Groundworks Ltd was established in 2016 as a family run business, built on more than 25 years of experience in the hard landscaping industry. Ten years on, our crews lay 280,000m²+ of paving and surfacing every year across Kent, Essex, London and the Home Counties.
We work for housebuilders, developers, main contractors, park operators and commercial clients, delivering groundworks, civils and every finished surface on top: block paving, resin bound, tarmac and natural stone.
Our approvals and accreditations are the proof behind the promise. We are a Brett Approved Paving Contractor, Daltex approved resin bound specialists, and hold CHAS Elite, SMAS Worksafe, Constructionline Gold and ISO 9001, with £10m public liability and £10m employers liability insurance.

How we work
A straightforward process

Enquiry and drawings
Send us your drawings, specification or a description of the site. We review the scope and ask the right questions early.
Site visit and quotation
We walk the site, check levels, access and drainage, then issue a clear, itemised quotation.
Programme
We agree start dates and sequencing with you and your other trades, with RAMS issued before we arrive.
Groundworks and surfacing
Our own crews build the base and lay the finished surface, managed by one supervisor from start to finish.
Handover
We clear the site, walk the finished works with you and hand over, ready for use.
