The project
What we delivered at William Harvey Hospital, Kent
5,500m² planed and resurfaced
Resurfacing starts with the plane out. The worn surface course is milled off to a depth of 40mm, which removes the cracked and fretted material while keeping the finished level tied in to the existing kerbs, drainage and footways.
The new 40mm surface course is laid in a 10mm aggregate asphalt. The fine 10mm stone gives a dense, close textured finish that suits car parks and access roads, where vehicles turn tightly and people walk across the surface.
With the surfacing complete, the full lining package goes down: parking bays, directional arrows and the other markings that make a busy car park safe and easy to use.
